EXPERIENCE NARRATIVE
The Columbia City Council established TN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION in 1993 in order to assist the City in accomplishing its comprehensive housing plan. TNDC’s original objective was to bring quality affordable housing and supportive services to those families and individuals living within the Two Notch Road corridor area. Over the years, TNDC has expanded its services to other areas of the City helping single individuals, homeless, families, and senior citizens. TNDC has been given the wonderful opportunity to address all levels of rental housing needs in the City of Columbia, from homelessness to market-rate homes. In its effort to provide housing opportunities, TNDC has entered into a new era of community concern and involvement by establishing new communities and partnerships with area social service agencies, businesses, and educational organizations to benefit the citizens of the City of Columbia.
The TNDC Management Philosophy
TNDC believes strongly in providing quality property management services. Through the years, its 204 units located at six (6) apartment communities have served over 1,000 residents. Our communities are managed by TNDC staff where on-site office personnel, 24-hour emergency maintenance, and a complete array of supportive services are provided. Each community is unique in the clientele it serves, but all our communities enjoy quality living with amenities such as carpeting, energy-efficient appliances, mini-blinds, individually controlled heating and air, washer/dryer facilities, and safety features such as dual-powered smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and steel front doors with dead-bolts. With all of these amenities for our resident’s home, it is still just only a physical dwelling unit. The real focus of all TNDC communities is our residents by providing quality housing with top-quality educational, social, and supportive services.
